DMCA Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
Note: This page is a general template describing a standard DMCA notice-and-takedown process. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer for any specific jurisdiction. Independent legal review is recommended, along with registering a designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office.
IPTV Quebec carries French-language television, hockey, and international channels for viewers in Quebec and beyond. We respect the rights of the broadcasters and creators involved, and respond to copyright notices as described here.
Required information
Incomplete notices slow everything down, because we have to come back and ask for what is missing. A complete notice includes:
- Your contact details — name, address, phone, and email
- The copyrighted work at issue, described clearly enough to identify it
- The specific material you want removed or disabled, and where it can be found
- A good-faith statement that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you own the right or are authorized to act for the owner
- Your physical or electronic signature
Notices missing one or more of these elements may not be treated as valid under the DMCA.
English or French
You can write to us in English or French (nous acceptons les avis en français). We also accept notices that follow Canada's notice-and-notice format, provided they include the information listed on this page.
Where to send notices
Send DMCA notices by email to our designated copyright contact at support@iptvquebec.co, with "DMCA Notice" in the subject line. Using that subject line routes your message ahead of general support requests.
Our response
Once a complete notice arrives, we acknowledge it, check that it meets the statutory requirements, and act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the material identified. If we need clarification, we will reply to the email address you provided.
Counter-notices
A counter-notice is the formal way to challenge a takedown. It must identify the removed material and where it was, include your contact details and signature, state under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith the removal was a mistake or misidentification, and include your consent to federal court jurisdiction and to accept service from the complainant.
We send a copy to the original complainant. If no court action is reported to us within 10 business days, the material may be put back within 10 to 14 business days.
A note on accuracy
Notices and counter-notices are legal statements. Knowingly false claims can lead to liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), so only file one if you are confident of the facts.
Repeat infringers
Using IPTV Quebec to repeatedly infringe copyright breaches our Terms of Use, and accounts doing so may be terminated in appropriate circumstances.
